Save a post worth keeping, or bring in everything you bookmarked and liked on X. Posts arrive grouped by author — each account you saved from becomes a source in your library, and each post becomes a highlight on it.

Save a single post

No extension needed anywhere: Becoming reads the post from its address on its own side.

From the X app — tap Share on a post and choose Becoming.
In the Becoming app — open Integrations → X (Twitter) and paste the post’s address under Or save one post.
In the web app — open Integrations → Save a link and paste the address. The same field takes an article or an X post.
On desktop, in Chrome — with the post open, click the Becoming extension’s toolbar icon. If you select text in the post first, that selection is saved as the highlight.

The post has to be public — one from a protected account can’t be read from a link.

Import your bookmarks and likes

Two routes, and they differ in one way worth knowing: the app reads both shelves in a single pass, the extension reads whichever one you’re standing on.

In the Becoming app (iPhone and Android)

Open Integrations → X (Twitter) and choose Sync bookmarks and likes.
Sign in to X on X’s own page, in a window of its own. Becoming never sees your password, and the session stays in that window.
Leave the screen open while it runs. It reads your bookmarks first, then your likes, saving as it scrolls and counting the posts as they land.

You can stop it early and keep everything already read — run it again whenever you like to top it up. If it only got through your bookmarks, it says so, and your likes are waiting for the next run.

On desktop, in the Chrome extension

Install the Becoming Chrome extension and sign in to the Becoming web app.
Signed in to X, open your bookmarks — or your own likes page.
A Becoming pill sits in the bottom-right corner. Click it to open its panel, then choose Import bookmarks to Becoming (or Import likes to Becoming).
Leave the tab open while it scrolls. Stop ends the run early and keeps what was read.

The extension imports whichever timeline you’re on, one per run — to bring in both, run it once on each page. Only your own likes: X doesn’t show anyone else’s.

Keep this in sync automatically

The panel has an opt-in Keep this in sync automatically checkbox. With it on, opening one of those pages starts the import by itself after a short countdown you can cancel, as long as more than a day has passed since that page’s last run. Each timeline keeps its own 24-hour clock, so syncing your bookmarks never makes your likes page look freshly done.

Nothing runs while your browser is closed — the visit is what starts it. This is an extension option; the app has no equivalent.

How posts are stored

Grouped by author. Every account you saved from becomes one source in your library, and each post is a highlight on that source.
They stay. Un-bookmarking or unliking a post on X doesn’t remove it from Becoming.
No duplicates. Re-running a sync only adds what’s new, so overlapping runs cost you nothing.

What Becoming can see

X has no usable import API for bookmarks, so both routes read what is already on screen: the app in a window on x.com, the extension on the page you’re already looking at.

Becoming never sees your X password.
The extension only runs on your bookmarks and likes pages. It can’t post on your behalf, and it can’t change anything about your account.
Nothing reads in the background. The app needs its sync screen open; the extension needs the tab open.

Good to know

Posts don’t spend AI credits. A post’s text is the highlight, so no model has to read it — bookmarks, likes, and single posts alike. In Integrations → Save a link, an article costs 1 credit and an X post costs none.
There’s a daily cap on how many posts a sync brings in: 200 a day on the trial, 2,000 a day on a paid plan. Past it the run still finishes — the newest posts land, and the rest arrive on your next sync at no extra cost.
Threads aren’t expanded. A saved post comes in on its own, without the conversation around it.
Long posts arrive in full. A post past X’s 280-character mark is kept whole, as a single highlight.

Troubleshooting

”X paused the import”

X throttles a timeline that’s read quickly. Everything already read is kept — wait a few minutes and run it again. This works the same way in the app and in the extension.

”Becoming needs an update”

X changed how it draws a timeline, and this build can’t read it. Update the extension from the Chrome Web Store, or the app from your app store, and try again.

X signed you out mid-read

In the app, sign in again on the same screen and the sync picks up where it stopped.

A post won’t save

It may be from a protected account, or it may have been deleted or suspended. A single post is fetched from its public address, so anything not publicly visible can’t be read.
