Book Suggestions
Once you’ve imported a few sources, Becoming starts suggesting books you might like to read next. You’ll find them under Recommended for you on your Home screen.
Book suggestions are part of The Library, and included in The Academy too.
How suggestions work
Section titled “How suggestions work”Each suggestion is a book you don’t already own, shown with a short reason like “Because you read The Body Keeps the Score.” Becoming looks at the sources you’ve read recently and finds books with similar ideas.
Suggestions are:
- Personal — based on what you’ve actually been reading.
- In your language — scoped to the language you read in.
- Fresh but not repetitive — they exclude books already in your library.
- Refreshed weekly — new ideas appear as your reading changes.
What you can do with a suggestion
Section titled “What you can do with a suggestion”For each recommended book you can:
- Add to library — bring it in so you can start saving highlights from it.
- Not interested — dismiss it, and Becoming will stop suggesting it.
Dismissing a book is helpful feedback. The more you add or dismiss, the better the recommendations get.
