What is Becoming?
Becoming is a personal growth platform that helps you turn the ideas you highlight while reading into real daily practices.
The Problem
Section titled “The Problem”You highlight passages in books, articles, and videos because they resonate. But those highlights pile up and the ideas rarely change how you actually live. Inspiration doesn’t become practice.
How Becoming Works
Section titled “How Becoming Works”Becoming bridges that gap through a simple cycle:
- Import your highlights — Bring in passages from Kindle, Goodreads, Readwise, YouTube, PDFs, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kobo, photos of pages you marked up on paper, and more.
- Generate a Theme — Becoming’s AI analyzes your highlights and surfaces a 4-week growth focus grounded in your own words.
- Practice daily — Each Theme comes with small daily practices (2–5 minutes) designed to help you embody the ideas.
- Complete and repeat — After 4 weeks, your Theme ends. You can start a new one based on fresh highlights.
Key Concepts
Section titled “Key Concepts”| Concept | What it is |
|---|---|
| Source | A book, article, video, or podcast you’ve read or watched |
| Highlight | A passage you marked in a source |
| Theme | A 4-week growth focus generated from your highlights |
| Practice | A small daily action within a Theme — either Reflect (internalize an idea) or Act (experiment in real life) |
Two Tiers
Section titled “Two Tiers”Becoming comes in two tiers: The Library, for remembering what you’ve read, and The Academy, for acting on it. The Academy includes everything in The Library plus AI-generated Themes and daily Practices. Each tier also comes with an allowance of AI credits for the moments an AI model reads something on your behalf — monthly on a paid plan, and a one-time grant on a free trial. Saving something always lands it in your library for free; credits pay only for the AI reading that follows.
What Becoming is Not
Section titled “What Becoming is Not”Becoming is not a highlight storage tool, a habit tracker, a task manager, or a self-optimization engine. It’s a growth buddy that adapts to your life — not the other way around.
