Sign Up

You can create an account three ways:

1. Email and password — Click Sign Up and enter your name, email, and password.
2. Google — Click Continue with Google to use your Google account.
3. Apple — In the iPhone app, tap Continue with Apple. This one is app-only; the web app has no Apple button, so sign in there with a magic link instead.

Already have an account? On the sign-in screen you can use a magic link instead of a password: choose the “email me a sign-in link” option, enter your email, and we’ll send you a link. Click it to sign in, no password needed.

Confirm Your Email

If you signed up with email and password, you’ll receive a confirmation email. Click the link in the email to activate your account.

Tip

Check your spam folder if you don’t see the confirmation email within a few minutes.

Choose Your Plan

Becoming offers two tiers:

The Library is about remembering your highlights. The Academy is about becoming — turning highlights into lived practice.

There’s also a Founding Member option: lifetime Academy access for a one-time payment. Seats are limited and it’s sold on the web — the current price is on the pricing page.

On Your Phone

Becoming has apps for iPhone and Android, and one account works in the apps and on the web. Some things need the app on a phone: Kindle Sync and importing your X bookmarks and likes run in the app, not in a phone’s browser, and Becoming points you there when you try.

Open the web app in a browser on an Android phone and a banner at the top offers Get the app. Dismiss it and it stays out of the way in that browser.

On an iPhone, Safari may show Apple’s own banner for the Becoming app at the top of the page, to open or install it. Apple decides when Safari shows it.
