Manage Subscription
Everything about your plan lives in Settings → Account. From there, the billing portal (powered by Stripe) handles plan changes, payment, and cancellation.
Open the Billing Portal
Section titled “Open the Billing Portal”- Go to Settings → Account.
- Open the billing portal from your subscription section.
- Make your change there — updates apply to your Becoming account automatically.
Change Your Plan
Section titled “Change Your Plan”Paid subscribers can move between The Library and The Academy at any time from the billing portal.
- Upgrade (Library → Academy) unlocks Themes, daily Practices, and automatic AI tagging right away.
- Downgrade (Academy → Library) keeps your library and Daily Review. Academy-only features become unavailable, but your highlights, notes, and past reflections stay put.
Either way, your monthly AI credit allowance becomes the new plan’s for the rest of that month — what you’ve already used this month still counts against it, so a plan change isn’t a fresh allowance. Downgrade after spending more than The Library’s 150 and you’ll have no credits left until the 1st.
Not sure which to pick? Compare them in Plans & Billing.
Update Your Payment Method
Section titled “Update Your Payment Method”In the billing portal, update your card or billing details. This is also where you’ll go if a payment doesn’t go through.
Cancel
Section titled “Cancel”Cancel anytime from the billing portal. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period — nothing is cut off mid-cycle. After that, your plan ends and you won’t be charged again. Your library stays with your account.
Delete Your Account
Section titled “Delete Your Account”If you want to remove everything, open Settings → Account and choose to delete your account.
Deleting also ends a paid web plan immediately, unlike cancelling: your subscription is cancelled the moment you confirm, with no refund or credit for the rest of the period you’ve already paid for. If you want those days, cancel now and delete once the period has run out.
For the full picture — including how to ask us to delete it if you can’t sign in, and why an App Store or Google Play subscription must be canceled separately — see Delete Your Account.
