Email

Becoming can give you a personal email address. Forward any email to it — or use it to subscribe to a newsletter — and Becoming reads what arrives and saves the most notable passages to your library as highlights.

Your Becoming address

In the web app, go to your library and choose Add source, then pick Email (or open Integrations → Email). Claim a handle, and your address becomes:

Your handle can be 3–30 characters using lowercase letters, numbers, and ., -, or _. Some names (like admin or support) are reserved.

Once you have an address, forward emails to it or use it to subscribe to newsletters. Becoming uses the email’s subject as the source title and pulls out the passages worth keeping — usually within a minute or two. You’ll only hear back from us if something goes wrong.

Who can send to it

Because your address is easy to guess, Becoming only imports mail from senders you trust:

The email on your account is always allowed.
Add any other allowed senders — either a full address (newsletter@example.com) or a whole domain (example.com, which allows any sender at that domain).

Mail from anyone else is held rather than imported. Held senders show up on the Email screen under Recently blocked senders, where a single click allows them going forward — and re-imports what they already sent (within a short window).

AI credits

Reading an email is AI work, so each newsletter Becoming reads costs 1 AI credit. Saving the email itself is free: if you’re out of credits, the newsletter still lands in your library with its full content, and only the AI highlighting waits until you have credits again. Mail from a blocked sender never costs anything.
