Your First Import
The fastest way to get started is by syncing your Kindle highlights using the Becoming Chrome extension.
Install the Extension
Section titled “Install the Extension”Kindle syncing is powered by the Becoming Chrome extension, which you install from within the web app:
- In your library, click Add source and choose Kindle.
- Click Install Extension. If you don’t have the extension yet, this takes you to the Becoming extension on the Chrome Web Store to add it.
Sign In
Section titled “Sign In”The extension uses your Becoming web app session, so make sure you’re signed in to the Becoming web app. You also need to be signed in to Amazon at read.amazon.com in the same browser — that’s where Becoming reads your Kindle highlights from.
Sync Your Highlights
Section titled “Sync Your Highlights”Once the extension is installed, clicking Install Extension starts the sync. A Syncing Kindle highlights dialog opens and runs while Becoming fetches your Kindle Notebook in the background — there’s no tab or popup to watch.
Check Your Import
Section titled “Check Your Import”After syncing, head to the Becoming web app. You’ll see your imported books and highlights in your library.
Other Import Sources
Section titled “Other Import Sources”The Kindle extension is the quickest start, but Becoming supports many other sources. See the full Import Overview → for all options.
